Froning, Cho, Panchik, Miller: (Unofficial) Results of Age Group Semifinals and Who Goes to the CrossFit Games

No, this is not the Rogue Invitational Legends. Rich Froning, Scott Panchik, Chyna Cho, Rebecca Voigt Miller among others are going to be front and centre at a CrossFit competition in a few months. Check out the, as of yet unofficial, results for the Age Group Semifinals that happened this past weekend. The CrossFit Age Group Semifinals was an online competition in which masters and teens put their strength and athleticism to the test as their last step before reaching the ultimate test of fitness: the CrossFit Games. Tests were revealed last week and competitors had to do each of the 6 events at their local Box, record a video, submit to CrossFit’s platform and wait for the results. The 2023 Age-Group Semifinals competition is now closed. https://t.co/CxOeP6Utwz— The CrossFit Games (@CrossFitGames) April 30, 2023 Although the leaderboard closed on Monday, CrossFit Inc. released a statement to explain that the leaderboard was incorrect due to tests 1B and 3B. Those tests were worth 50 points each, but the leaderboard shows them as a 100-point event. While the official leaderboard is inaccurate, the Sport’s organisation is going through the divisions and making the proper adjustments. Here is how things stand at the moment. * The leaderboard will be finalised no later than May 10th and CrossFit will release a statement to announce who officially is receiving an invitation to the CrossFit Games. 2023 CrossFit Age Group Semifinals Results (Unofficial) As of May 2nd, the leaderboard shines a light on many of the CrossFit legends we have come to know and love. Names like Rich Froning, Scott Panchik, Chyna Cho, Stacie Tovar, Rebecca Voigt Miller, and Samantha Briggs are bound to receive their Games invitation once the leaderboard is finalised. According to CrossFit’s updated leaderboard, here are some of the top 10 athletes from each division who (unofficially) will receive an invitation to the CrossFit Games. As the rulebook states, the top 10 in each category will be able to go to Madison to compete for the title of Fittest on Earth. For a full list of the updated leaderboard, click here. Age Group 35-39 This age bracket has one of the most feared and most dominant athletes in the Sport of all time: Rich Froning. The 10x Games champion announced last year he would no longer compete in a team, and was making the move towards the individual age group division. He is closely followed by crowd pleaser Scott Panchik, a 9x Games veteran, Sam Dancer (4x Games athlete), Frederik Aegidius (4x Games athlete), and Elijah Muhammad (2x Games veteran). Other Notable Games Athlete Besides the packed-full experience in the 35-39 division, there are other notable CrossFit athletes who will likely punch their ticket to Madison this year. Although she claimed to retire from competition, 2013’s Fittest Woman on Earth Samantha Briggs sits comfortably in 4th at the 40-44 age group and could come back to the ultimate test of fitness. She is followed closely by Rebecca Voigt Miller (10x Games athlete). In the teens’ division, we will likely see the return of Ty Jenkins (fittest teen in 2021 and 2022), Rj Mestre (fittest teen in 2022), Olivia Kerstetter (fittest teen in 2021 and 2022) and Lucy McGonigle (fittest teen in 2022).
